SINOBRAS is participating in the XVII FIPA (Industrial Fair of Pará), contributing to the debate on the challenges and opportunities of the new Amazonian industry. Representing the company, the Vice President of Operations, Ian Corrêa, will be one of the panelists at the meeting “Circular Generation: less waste, more future in the new Amazonian industry”, held on May 22nd, from 5:00 PM to 5:50 PM, on Stage 2.
The panel will bring together representatives from industry, the public sector, and sustainability initiatives to discuss how the circular economy is becoming established as a strategy to connect operational efficiency, innovation, industrial competitiveness, and regional development in the Amazon.
During the conversation, Ian Corrêa will present SINOBRAS' practical experiences related to circularity in the steel industry, highlighting the use of scrap metal as the main input in steel production, ensuring the continuous reintegration of the material into the production cycle. The executive will also address initiatives focused on water recirculation in industrial processes, the use of co-products, and the logistical integration of the production chain to increase efficiency and resource reuse.
The program also proposes reflections on the specific challenges of the Amazon region, such as large logistical distances, limited infrastructure for recycling and productive inclusion of communities, as well as the regional potential to lead more sustainable and competitive industrial models.
For Ian Corrêa, discussing industrial practices aligned with the circular economy is fundamental to strengthening regional development.
SINOBRAS' participation reinforces the company's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and building solutions that generate value for industry and society.
