People are more receptive to technological tools, whether for e-commerce shopping or delivery, telemedicine or working from home, as well as entertainment through livestreams and training through virtual meetings and classes.
Companies also had to adapt to the new era. The use of technology, which previously often seemed to distance people, now helps bring them closer together, making it possible to carry out many tasks and different businesses. The virtual has become real. Companies that were already using technology to their advantage, changing processes and connecting, gained an advantage in the market, as they found it easier to adapt to the new era. Technological acceleration thus proves to be a competitive differentiator.
Node Ceará Steel Group We took advantage of this moment to explore opportunities. During this wave of transformation, several initiatives were implemented to stimulate digital projects. The company's journey played a key role in 2018, with an event called Digital Day, which encouraged reflection among managers across all Group companies, focusing on digital transformation. From then on, investments and projects were implemented that were crucial in addressing the crisis, with an infrastructure already in place to support remote working, for example. We also highlight the use of telemedicine to provide support and security to everyone at home and in factories, virtual meetings, customer service channels, and communication with our customers, which is also crucial for maintaining sales and vital for securing jobs and accelerating business.
New projects are being studied involving people and technology using agile methodology to bring gains and aid digital acculturation. Within this journey, we will utilize robots and artificial intelligence—anything that can solve problems and simplify processes. The delivery power of technology is only advancing, and in the medium term, we will have faster internet with the arrival of 5G, and with it the arrival of new habits, which will certainly make the world even faster.
