Last Tuesday (8), SINOBRAS donated computer equipment to the Jiu-jitsu Pedagogical Project carried out by the 34th Military Police Battalion. With the aim of supporting the citizenship formation of children and adolescents in the municipality of Marabá, the company continues to promote the sport with the State Military Police.
In February of this year, SINOBRAS donated mats and kimonos to the project, which will instill fundamental values in children and adolescents aged 8 to 15, contributing to their development through sport. Now, the company has donated IT equipment, which will be used in the program's administrative aspects.
Ian Correa, vice president of operations at Grupo Aço Cearense, of which SINOBRAS is a member, said that partnerships like this contribute to a better society, in addition to strengthening institutional relationships. "We know that many children live in idleness, and sports play a fundamental role in their physical, social, and emotional development. We are always pleased to support programs that provide benefits for the development of these young people."
The project is in the structuring phase and is awaiting a safer time, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to begin activities.
