Gilberto Silva, an athlete sponsored by the Instituto Aço Cearense, won the Master's category of the Bairros Cycling Project. The event took place on September 7th in Eusébio.
Gilberto, who recently participated in the Pan American Paracycling Championships, has been following an intense training routine for some time. According to the athlete, this routine has helped him achieve the positive results he's been achieving. "I'm happy with this result because the race featured many high-level cyclists. It's important for me because it lets me know I'm at a good level and well-prepared," says Gilberto.
The Neighborhood Cycling Project aims to promote sports in Ceará by holding the event in a different neighborhood of Fortaleza. The event also encourages cycling as a sport, transportation, and leisure activity.
