As part of the Grupo Aço Cearense Leadership Development Program, on the morning of November 1st, the Art of Delegating training was held in the ACC Auditorium for Vice-Presidents, Directors, Managers and Coordinators with a large number of employees in their teams.
The training was led by coach Marília Fiuza, who conducted practical exercises to help develop delegation skills. The training aligned with the actions mapped out in the Individual Development Commitments (CDIs) and the Strategic Planning SWOT, covering topics such as task segmentation, delegation tips, segmentation of subordinates, and monitoring. "The art of delegation is one of the three basic skills for leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs who work in teams," said the facilitator when discussing the importance of the training.
Romério Alencar, Engineering and Maintenance Manager at Aço Cearense, commented: "It was a very rewarding experience, where we learned several aspects about delegation and how it enables us to be more successful in our activities. We understand that sharing responsibilities is also an opportunity to develop people within our teams, because no one can achieve anything alone; it's essential to have a team prepared for challenges and focused on the results we need to achieve."
Marcinei Cruz, Blast Furnace Manager at SINOBRAS, also commented on the training: "Marília Fiuza's work is spectacular! I was very pleased with the training because it offered a different approach and helped me gain a better understanding of how I delegate tasks to my team. I can only praise her and say it was very useful and enriching for me," he said.
Cinthia Cavalcanti, Director of Organizational Development and IT, said: "The training challenged us to rethink the command-and-control management model and the need to exercise delegation. Marília Fiuza encouraged us to reflect on practical tips for developing these skills, as well as the role of leadership in building high-performance teams."
