More than 60 employees from the production and maintenance area of Aço Cearense have achieved certification in Autonomous Maintenance in a course promoted by the company. Last Monday (28), the company concluded the project that seeks develop in its employees a sense of continuous improvement and increased reliability with a focus on the maintenance of their work equipment.

For two months, employees who have direct contact with machines participated in training. This training aimed to enable them to inspect, identify, and resolve minor faults and abnormalities in their work equipment. Maintaining the machine's optimal condition through the identification of minor problems, repair, and appropriate management requires a proactive approach to preventing these issues.
Early detection of a failure effectively contributes to the safety of those operating the equipment. Gustavo da Silva, an operator in the Stainless Steel area, sees the project as an incentive for learning. "This training and the 'freedom' the company gives us translates into confidence in the work we do," says the operator, who has been with Aço Cearense for 13 years. "It's in moments like these that we see how valuable our work is. After being part of the Autonomous Maintenance project, I opened my eyes to other possibilities," adds the employee.
