SINOBRAS is recognized as an industry that promotes economic sustainability

On June 12, SINOBRAS received a recognition and thank you card for the partnership with REDES (Innovation and Economic Sustainability), an initiative of the FIEPA (Industry Federation of the State of Pará) System. The company was recognized as an industry that promotes economic sustainability in the state of Pará.

SINOBRAS collaborator wins REDES de Desenvolvimento Award

To be highlighted in the relationship with REDES / FIEPA in 2017, Eloá Betini, Buyer of Supplies Materials, was the winner of the Buyer of the Year category of the 6th REDES Development Award, held on August 8, in Belém. This was the second consecutive time that the collaborator was awarded. The award recognizes the companies and professionals who invested the most in purchasing volumes in the state of Pará in the year 2017 and is an action of the System of the Federation of Industries of Pará (FIEPA), through the initiative REDES – Innovation and Economic Sustainability.

Edson Queiroz Medal

President of the Aço Cearense Group Vilmar Ferreira was honored with the Edson Queiroz Medal in December. One of the most important honors for Cearense businessmen, the commendation granted by the Legislative Assembly of Ceará was instituted by Law No. 10,695 of July 1982.

Líderes do Norte 2016 Award

SINOBRAS, a company of the Group, was a champion of the Líderes do Norte Award, held by the Parana Business and Highlight Group (NED) in June 2016. The company ranked first in the construction material segment.

SINOBRAS, a GAC ​​company, achieved a triple award at the event held in March in the city of Belém. Biggest and Best 2016 Exame

For a further consecutive year, the Aço Cearense Group occupies a place in the select list of Exame magazine, in its annual edition Best and Largest with the ranking of the 200 largest private groups in the country. Advancing three positions, Grupo Aço Cearense moved from 182nd in 2014 to 179th last year among the major national groups.

SINOBRAS, which is one of the five companies of the Group, is also featured in the magazine, ranking among the largest companies in the North and Northeast in the 76th position in the regional ranking. It also appears among the 100 largest investments of 2015 in position 94ª, with the Phase 2 Lamination Project, whose objective is to increase production capacity to 800 thousand tons of steel annually in Marabá; and stands out in the ranking of the 1000 companies with the highest net sales in 2015, reaching 617th place, with R $ 939.7 million in sales.

In the ranking published in July 2015 by Exame magazine, Grupo Aço Cearense ranked 182nd among the largest groups in the country and SINOBRAS (one of its companies) ranked 80th among the largest companies in the North and Northeast regions.

The Aço Cearense Group ranked 240th among the country’s 1,000 largest groups, being the 15th largest in the Northeast and the 2nd in the region in the metallurgy and mining sector, according to the annual publication Valor 1000 that circulated in August 2015.

In March 2015, SINOBRAS, a GAC ​​company, received the “Pleasure in Work” award sponsored by Gestor Consultoria, in partnership with Jornal Diário do Pará, which recognizes Pará companies with Best People Management Practices. In the general ranking of Valor Econômico of the 1,000 largest Brazilian companies, Aço Cearense was the 226th place, being the 17th among the largest in the Metallurgy and Mining sector (including Siderurgia) nationwide and 12th in the Northeast region in the same sector.

100+ IT Innovators of the Year Award

In December 2014, the GAC was awarded the 68th position of the 100 + IT Innovators of the Year Award, promoted by IT Mídia. 2014 Pleasure to Work Award

SINOBRAS was considered as the second best company to work in the state of Pará. This was the result of the “Pleasure in Work 2014” survey conducted by Gestor Consultoria and Diário do Pará Business Notebook, which evaluated management practices of 32 companies. SINOBRAS was also awarded the “Holos” award, granted to the steelmaker for having the best tools of People Management implemented.

Contributors Award

For the fifth year in a row, in 2013, Ceará Steel received the Taxpayers Award, in the collection category of the Tax on the Movement of Goods and Services (ICMS), granted annually by the Government of Ceará to the 50 largest taxpayers of said tax, in the state.

The 13th largest company in the Northeast Region

Aço Cearense was highlighted in the “Valor 1000” survey, published by the newspaper Valor Econômico in 2013. In the ranking by region, Aço Cearense won the 13th place among the 50 largest in the Northeast and SINOBRAS ranked 41st in the North and Midwest. In the overall ranking, Aço Cearense was in 249th and SINOBRAS in 637th.

ORM / ACP Award

In November 2013, SINOBRAS received, for the third time, the ORM / ACP Award, granted by the Romulo Maiorana and Pará Trade Association (ACP) organizations for companies that stood out in the state business and industrial environment in 2012.

Networking Award

The Rede program, which promotes the development of suppliers in Pará, delivered in December 2013, the Network Awards 2012, for the contribution of SINOBRAS in strengthening the industry in the State. The Company ranked third in the Absolutes category, due to its outstanding business volume in Pará.

Sebastião de Arruda Gomes Medal

The president of Grupo Aço Cearense (GAC), Vilmar Ferreira, received the Sebastião de Arruda Gomes Medal in December 2013. The commendation was delivered by the Union of Metallurgical, Mechanical and Electrical Material Industries of the State of Ceará (Simec) to the two industries that stood out the most during the year.

The Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC) and the National Industry Conference (CNI) honored Ceará steel with the 2012 Industrial Merit Medal. The recognition of more than 30 years in the Steel market was welcomed by President Vilmar Ferreira.
