The 3rd edition of Pedaling for Peace, promoted by the Aço Cearense Institute, took place in Caucaia on August 18, in partnership with the Lar Beneficente Clara de Assis. The event united sport and leisure, with the proposal of disseminating a culture of peace in the community.
For the families that participated, a little trainwas provided to transport the children under 5 years, while a sound car maintained the animation during the course. The mobilization was also accompanied by the AMC (Municipal Transit Authority and Citizenship) and the Fire Department.
At the end of the journey, the Clara Música and Sementes da Esperança groups made musical presentations. Rosemeire Matos, President of the Aço Cearense Institute and Administrative Director of Aço Cearense Industrial, said: “This event is only a seed of what we can do if we join. We expect to have a lot more people next year”, she said.
Collaborators from Aço Cearense Commercial and Aço Cearense Industrial were present at Pedaling for Peace, including the Brazilian champion of the Brazilian Paracyclism ranking, Gilberto Silva. “I am very happy to be present once again in Pedaling for Peace and to encourage our children to practice the sport and overcome the challenges,” he said.
Aço Cearense Institute offered water, snack and raffled a bicycle. The winner was Jean Alysson Silva, benefited from Lar de Clara.
